Modern event location in a historic Berlin building
Founded in 2014, Mitosis is an event location in the pulsing heart of Berlin Neukölln. It consists of a coworking space and a set of event spaces called Mitosis LAB. Nestled in a former soap factory in a quiet backyard on Sonnenallee, it is now a complex of flexible meeting rooms just 12 minutes from Berlin Mitte, designed by our team with great attention to detail.
We have balanced functionality and versatility with preserving the history and unique beauty of the building. With this in mind, 6 spaces were constructed.
Versatile event space with endless possibilities
Mitosis LAB‘s floors cover more than 1000 m² and can be adapted to your vision and needs. Our 5 spacious, light-filled LABs each offer their own unique atmosphere and interior design, perfect for hosting:

Your meeting, hackathon or corporate event can be held comfortably within our existing room layouts. However, we can also alter our room configurations and tailor them for your event.
Fresh air in Berlin’s backyard
With direct access from LAB 1, our MITOPIA garden serves as an outdoor area. In good weather, you can enjoy your lunch outdoors amongst the greenery, catch up over a beer, or take a moment to pause.

Welcome drinks
Your guests will be welcomed to Mitosis with a good-quality hot coffee or tea. At the heart of every LAB is a professional coffee machine which can be operated by our barista, or alternatively by our guests. We adjust the grind regularly so that you and your guests can enjoy a coffee as good as they would find in a coffee roastery. In addition, several types of tea, water and organic soft drinks and smoothies are available for our guests upon request.
Croissants, catering and more
Of course, what could be a better companion to a hot coffee than a freshly baked croissant? Every day we are supplied with fresh pastries from the neighbourhood’s best and hippest bakeries. Whether it’s lunch, snacks for the afternoon or finger food for your evening meeting, we have the right kitchen connections for every occasion.
At Mitosis LAB, we work with numerous Berlin caterers who can deliver delicious food, prepared with love for your event or workshop. We are more than willing to discuss your culinary needs and find a good match. Our focus when selecting caterers:

In remodeling our event spaces, we focused on sustainability and care for the environment. We also strive to act in an environmentally conscious and sustainable manner at our events. Wherever possible, we are committed to:

- Drinks offered in glass bottles
- Waste reduction
- Working with local caterers to avoid long delivery routes
